General

12th New Westminster is the only Scouting Group currently active in New Westminster, BC. We are part of the Coho Area within the Fraser Valley Council of Scouts Canada.

Sections

We have the following Scouting Sections within 12th New Westminster: two Beaver Colonies (Queens Colony A and Knox Colony B), a Cub Pack, a Scout Troop, a Venturer Company and a Rover Crew. We are currently working to establish a second Cub Pack.

Beaver Scouts

The Beaver Scouts program is intended for youth between ages 5 and 7 (Kindergarden - Grade2). Activities include crafts, games, sports, music, hikes, and camping.

Cub Scouts

The Cub Scout program is intended for youth between ages 8 and 10 (Grades 3 - 5). Activities of the program include hiking, camping, activities such as canoeing and kayaking.

Scouts

The Scout program is intended for youth between ages 11 and 14 (Grades 6 - 8). Activities include outdoor activities, camping, and hiking.

Venturer Scouts

The Venturer Scout program s intended for teens between ages 14 and 17 (Grades 9 - 12), offering exciting, real life, hands-on experiences for youth. Activities include hiking, camping, and training programs.

Rover Scouts

Rover Scouts is the final youth stage of Scouting, aimed at teens and young adults between 18 and 26 years old. Activities include adventurous activities and helping in local communities.
