During the Hyack Festival, 12th New Westminster hosts a camp in Queens Park. This was established in 1988.
One of highlights is firing rifles at the Sapperton Fish and Game Club rifle range under the Arenex in Queens Park. This is represented in the 1999 “target” badge. The other highlight is the giant campfire in the baseball field. This is represented in the 2003 badge. Groups from the lower mainland, interior BC, and Washington attend.
